I promised myself that while I was unemployed I would tackle 2 looming projects. The first is to completely gut and organize my closet. I have a HUGE walk-in closet filled with too many clothes and shoes for one person and its never far from looking like a disaster. The second was to organize all my pictures.
I started on the photos today. What a nightmare!!! I have THOUSANDS of pictures and at one point I found myself surrounded by almost 4 decades of my life...it was so strange. People who have come and gone...family that I have lost and miss everyday... and babies, friends babies, my cousins as babies and me and David as babies!! And lots and lots of pictures of family! My great big huge family!! My life in pictures. It was weird, but fun. I loved looking at myself...first as a little kid, then high school and college and the crazy hair do's in college (long, short, REALLY short!). Then my move to California, my wedding, and new friends. Oh, and the boyfriends...all the old boyfriends...now that was a trip!! But they all contributed to my life....at the end of the day..in a positive way. I have a happy life...despite present circumstances and I am grateful to all the people whose lovely faces I got to look at today.
Today was also my interview day. It went well, and I really hope I get it. They aren't interviewing many candidates but I am not sure how I feel about that. I did my best.... that's all I can do.
Its St. Patrick's Day and I am heading downtown to meet up with some friends...I hope you all had some green beer and or bagels!!
